Washington Wizards vs New Orleans Pelicans Final Score & Over/Under Result — Oct 16, 2026

New Orleans edged Washington 107–106 in a defensive grind that landed well short of expectations. Coming in, the Pelicans were allowing 122.9 points per game over their last ten, while the Wizards had surrendered 129.2—yet both teams combined for just 213 points, finishing 17.5 below the 230.5 market total. The first half promised a shootout: Q2 alone saw 67 combined points, pushing the halves to 107–107 even. Everything changed after the break. Q3 collapsed to just 44 combined points, and though Q4 recovered slightly to 62, the damage was done.

Saddiq Bey led New Orleans with 19 points and 6 rebounds, holding off a Wizards squad that got 14 apiece from Anthony Davis (11 rebounds, 1 assist) and Kyshawn George (3 rebounds, 1 assist). Jeremiah Fears chipped in 14 points and a game-high 5 assists for the Pelicans; Zion Williamson added 11 points and 5 rebounds. Washington's Alex Sarr posted 12 points and 9 rebounds off the bench.

DAGGER leaned under, and it cashed decisively. The second half's defensive tightening—a 22-point swing from the first half's 107 combined down to the final two quarters' 106—proved the decisive factor in a one-point outcome that saw neither team's recent defensive struggles materialize.
