New York Liberty vs Chicago Sky Final Score & Over/Under Result — Jun 17, 2026

New York's defense has been a weakness all season—allowing 79.2 points per game over the last ten contests—but the Liberty made just enough plays down the stretch to slip past Chicago 96–95 in a game that defied its pregame script. The combined 191 points landed well over the 170.5 market total by 20.5, a sharp reversal from DAGGER's pregame lean to the under, though the model's live adjustment proved prescient as the total climbed.

The first quarter exploded for 59 combined points, setting an aggressive early tone that neither team fully sustained. Chicago stormed to a 32-point opening quarter, led by Sydney Taylor's 24 points and Gabriela Jaquez's 22, but the Sky's offense stalled dramatically in the second, when just 13 combined points crossed the board—a stunning collapse that left the half at 92 combined. New York clawed back into contention behind Jonquel Jones (19 pts, 8 reb, 3 ast), Breanna Stewart (17 pts, 6 reb, 3 ast), and Satou Sabally (17 pts, 2 reb, 2 ast), forcing a competitive second half that combined for 99 points. The final frame came down to single possessions, with the Liberty's narrow defensive stand sealing a one-point victory—a rare result given Chicago's recent scoring prowess and New York's defensive vulnerabilities. Skylar Diggins (19 pts, 8 ast) orchestrated the Sky's offensive attack, but the late execution favored the visitors.
